THE MAHAVISHNU PROJECT featuring Rachel Flowers
SMILE OF THE BEYOND
Welcome to the first and only Official Mahavishnu Project BandCamp page!
We are the only Mahavishnu Orchestra repertory ensemble to receive the blessing and encouragement of John McLaughlin and all the original band members for our interpretations of their seminal, but ultimately eternal work.
We are so pleased to be making the work of the current line up of the band available (plus archival items from various past line-ups from the past 20+ years!) for all Mahavishnu lovers and jazz-rock fans around the globe to enjoy. Lots of cool stuff is coming your way.
We are launching the site with our version of "Smile of the Beyond" from MO's magnum opus, Apocalypse recorded in 1974 with The London Symphony and George Martin producing. Our version features the incredible vocals of Rachel Flowers.
This is a new venture and we will be uploading materials regularly. Please help support us by signing up for our page and visiting often to see what cool items we might be adding here.

Lyrics:
I follow your smile
And try as I might
I can't get it
Out of my heart
It's captured my heart
I follow your eyes
And though it may be unwise
I see nothing else
You're part of my self
I follow your soul
I know it will make me whole
With you, I am one
My vision is one
Once I thought my goal was so far away
My life, an endless search
Now I see within your very smile, the way
Within my heart it ever plays a symphony
That sings of endless day
Smile of The Beyond
Lord of the day
Your face is an endless way of love in my life, light in my love
Please let me stay and be by your side forever
Watching your smile
I live for your smile
I see within your very smile, the way
Within my hear it ever plays
A symphony that sings of endless day
Smile of The Beyond
